Definition of Clause

A clause is a collection of words that has a subject that is actively doing a verb. The following are examples of clauses:

• since she laughs at diffident men
• I despise individuals of low character
• when the saints go marching in
• Obediah Simpson is uglier than a rabid raccoon
• because she smiled at him.

In the examples above, we find either a noun or a pronoun that is a subject (bold-print and red) attached to a predicate verb (underlined and purple) in each case:

• since she laughs at diffident men
• I despise individuals of low character
• when the saints go marching in
• Obediah Simpson is uglier than a rabid raccoon
• because she smiled at him

 If the clause could stand by itself, and form a complete sentence with punctuation, we call the clause an independent clause. The following are independent clauses:

• I despise individuals of low character
• Obediah Simpson is uglier than a rabid racoon

We could easily turn independent clauses into complete sentences by adding appropriate punctuation marks. We might say, "I despise individuals of low character." Or we might write, "Obediah Simpson is uglier than a rabid racoon!" We call them independent because these types of clauses can stand independently by themselves, without any extra words attached, and be complete sentences.
 Dependent clauses have a subject doing a verb, but they have a subordinate conjuction placed in front of the clause. That subordinate conjunction means that the clause can't stand independently by itself and become a complete sentence. Instead, the dependent clause is dependent upon another clause--it can't make a complete sentence by itself, even though it has a subject doing a verb. Here are some examples of dependent clauses:

• since she laughs at diffident men
• when the saints go marching in
• because she smiled at him

These clauses simply do not form complete thoughts or sentences by themselves. Those subordinate conjunctions--since, when, and because--cause the listener to expect some extra material. The thought is incomplete. If you walked up to a friend in the dorms and said, "since she laughs at diffident men," and then walked away without adding an independent clause, the friend would be completely baffled.

         - I leave before my mother go
         - She cry when i leave him

                                            MY HOUSE

I live in a small house. It has five rooms: there are two bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom, and a kitchen. Indeed it is a small house; but I like living in here for wasting my spare time.

When the door is open, I can see the living room. It is so small with only three chairs and a table, nothing else. I prefer reading a novel in this room.

My bedroom is in the left side of the living room. In this room there is a night table next to the bed, a TV, a radio, and a computer. When being bored of reading, I usually play online games, chat with my friends via Facebook and so on. 

Next to my bedroom is my mother's. I do not know what is inside because I never come in to see it. In the right side of the living room there is the kitchen. In the kitchen I have everything I need when I get hungry. It is very pleasure when my mother cooks, the smell fills my whole house.

I know it is a very small house; but it is the best place I have ever seen.

My Sweet Experience

Once day at the garden city, i saw a man who is very kind and handsome. I was sofascinated by him. When i saw him, all eyes on her he helped  old women who wanted to cross the road and that’s made me want to know him more closely.

When i arrived at home i immediately put my body in bed. His face came on my sleep, but instantly i awake and praying for the hanger my self. The next morning i saw the clock is showing at  06.00 and i woke up from my bed to shower and have breakfast with my mother.

Arriving in class i tired  to do about the matter. Tap shoes and my teacher came. She said that our class would be the arrival of new student. I was shocked when a learned that new student is a man who did not disturb my sleep last night. “oooohh God, what do you approach to me?.”

My heart beats faster when he was going to take a seat in biside of me wanted to run away from my seat. But my heart  refused. Finally i succes to get  close to him and know him. I’m very happy. I really enjoyed my day. This is the story appealead  to me.
